Photograph at dusk of the illuminated tower of the Chrysler Building skyscraper with a businessman in silhouette in his tower office. At 1,047 the famous Art Deco masterpiece is the world’s tallest brick building and completed in 1930 to design by architect William Van Alen for automobile tycoon Walter Chrysler. The terraced crown features radiating arches with vaulted triangular windows is clad in nirosta, an early stainless steel made by Krupp. The Chrysler Building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976.
